Trench Armour was a thing, although I think this is incredibly over-exaggerated.

I just hope that they do it right, WW1 is one of my favourite periods of history to study; when they mentioned that they are doing a campaign from several perspectives its got me hyped - I just don't want to see Americans on the Western Front; I am glad they are showing more of the less talked about fronts like Italy and Mesopotamia (judging it is Mesopotamia from the desert screenshots). Also I saw soldiers with Adrian helmets, so here is hoping for Belgians / French / Italian troops featuring in it at some point.

I want a game that encapsulates all the interesting aspects of this fascinating period - and I am hoping for an amazing campaign that gets the tone of the war right.

I am very hyped; like the past few days I have been like 'why isn't there more WW1 games?' then bam - this.
