Far to the north, the archipelago of Svalbard lays open for Union settlement.
Isolated for decades, the lifeless land was left empty following a short occupation - its population deported, its silent shores left free of human life, only the ruins of fallen civilisations remaining.
Until now.
A force has called the Union north once more; a hunger for resources? The challenge of Arctic insurgency?
Or perhaps something that terrifies even the Overworld?
A weapon that could save mankind...

This event will be 3-6 days long and not a permanent map change.
This will be a 128 slot event using the main server.
It will be a citizen based event - meaning that almost every role is filled by citizens and citizen factions (UIL, UM, CWU) - meaning that security will consist of conscripts and there will be little to no dispatch influence.
There will be no Civil Protection in the main body of this event. Nor will there be OTA present.
A CAB questline will allow a very small number to help lead this expedition.
Rebels (BOLs/ACs, those in possession of firearms/weapons and suits) will not be able to participate unless whitelisted. This is because the event takes place on Svalbard, not somewhere easily accessed by illegal means.
Some server rebels will have the chance to join via a questline. Levels of gear/rebel group will not impact your chances of selection. Embarking on this journey is likely a suicide mission.
Vortigaunts will only be able to participate via special circumstances and shouldn't be flagged on. No such restrictions for biotics.
The event will operate on the basis of the server's current rules, including rules around PKs
This event takes place in a hostile outlands environment, so the same rules of the city regarding rogue actions may not apply. This is up to the discretion of individual faction leaders.
No refunds will be issued from loss through the event
