Can't Join HL2RP Server

No matter how many items I try to join it either gets stuck at downloading X amount of lua, forcing me to retry or I get to the main menu and am met with a server error

cause its the same with old stasiland i get in after a fuckton of time and i get an auto disconnect and its fucking annoying

• reinstalling gmod/addons
• loading the map in sp first
• switching to / away from chromium/x64 branch
• validating game cache

Tried it and so far just the same except when I try to join I don't get to the menu in the first join it sticks me at getting Lua X number before timing me out

Ok so yesterday something worked cause I got in and now I can't

and recently the issue has started again and I cannot join stasiland and hl2rp. No clue why but I suspect its one of the addons in the packs as they have also stopped me from joining other servers

This happens to me a lot as well not sure what fixes it but a full computer restart worked for me if you leave yours on like I do

also, unsub all addons that’s not the content packs then reinstall

Tried connecting to the servers while unsubbed from everything? Might be subbed to too much stuff

i have to connect to the server twice, for some reason i'm booted out when joining at first and then i manage to get in the second time

Additionally, have you tried loading the map in sp before you connect? That was a solution for problems in the past

I have your exact same issues and it's been plaguing me for years, especially with servers with a ton of content like neb.

What works for me is to go to options, and disable downloading all content from the MP section (make sure you have the content installed beforehand), then I have to try to get in, it doesn't guarantee it, but it works on the 3rd attempt, and which after that, it becomes somewhat stable.

It's defo not an internet thing, that's for sure.
