'Human Science' advocates join Breen Administration​

Dr. Jules Ishard and Lev Maxim Stefanovich, ministers without portfolio within the first Breen Cabinet in City 17.

The addition of Dr. Ishard and Minister Stefanovich to the Breen Cabinet has been a great success for the advocates of the 'Human Science' campaign in City 17. If you're unfamiliar, during the early days of Combine-Human cooperation, the Amend Initiative, of which Ishard was vice president, ran a campaign railing against the follies of human-led scientific initiatives, citing climate change, pollution, inhumane treatment of animals, nuclear warheads, and the disenchantment of the species. Amend was backed by nobel laureates and scientific minds across the globe, who championed the arrival of the Combine as an end to an amoral and unethical culture. After their success, Amend has become an outspoken proponent of the suppression field as a method of taming our animal instincts, as well as advocating the colonization of the solar system. The pressure group has faced controversy due to its early support of political transhumanism, which was outlawed worldwide in 2015.

Lev Stefanovich is a relative newcomer to the scene of global politics, serving a brief tenure as successor to Prefect Ilyenkov following his assassination, during which he closely aligned himself with Amend and Dr. Ishard.
