I was playing a game before (because I haven't played civ in years and I forgot everything) and got invaded by Shaka during the middle ages, I managed to suvive without losing a single city thanks to the sheer number of landsknechts I could deploy in a single turn. In the end I had so many landsknechts they could not physically cross my borders anymore
alright, so here's a suggestion for the game this sunday.
have the game be set on large islands with 10-20 city-states and the resources set to minimum, every player will start on a lone island with the occasional city-state accompanying them, this will enforce the needs for expansion, trade-alliances and even conflict for dominance over most resources, all in the name of progress (just to spice things up)
here's a pic of what i'm referring to

also if the main lobby fails we can split on two lobbies 6x6

for real tho cant we have like continents instead
i like islands as much as the next guy but you're cucking pretty much any early game or land based civ and making sea civs way too powerful
as I said, it was just a suggestion
Disconnect and hotjoin works but AI is whacko so it’s not recommended.Btw I've never played on multi, how does the game handle going afk? Is there a way to give control of your civ to the AI so that the others doesn't have to wait to your turn timer?

Dcing and reconnecting breaks the game sometimes too if you’re unlucky
