Dark Interval, an interesting HL2 Mod

Just found out about this today. Dark Interval is basically an hl2 mod that's been in-progress for a while now, and its goal is to recreate scenes from the HL2 leaked beta and make it into a full game

It isn't perfect of course, but the maps look really fucking good.

I've played it. It's actually really fun, and you don't a HUD until chapter 4, makes gameplay interesting. New mechanics relating to headcrabs and Cremators as well, and they recorded new breathing sounds for Cremators. Got voice actors to do citizens and Kleiner/Barney (same guy) along with Odell for the prologue. No lipsync yet, but the voice lines are functional. I like that they're not just remaking the E3 stuff, they're trying to make a full game out of the concepts

Hey, I've never really downloaded many mods before, and I'm having a bit of trouble getting it started.
I downloaded it, stuck it in the HL2 folder, but I can't seem to get it to start at all. I'm a grand noob in getting mods to work, so any help would be appreciated :D

You'll need to apply it into the sourcemods folder. The structure should go steamapps>sourcemods>darkinterval-release

Putting it into HL2 probably just broke your game, so you'll probably need to verify the integrity of HL2 thru steam if you'd like to play it again.
