Suggestion: Add an encrypted rebel frequency, one that's hard coded into each Citizen & Vortigaunt character.
Why it would be worth adding:
One of the most consistent complaints we've had across this iteration is how often the rebel frequency gets compromised. Compared to CityRP, Combine bumping into rebels is much more common now, which means that it's not uncommon for a frequency to get compromised within days or even hours. This causes an endless loop of rebels changing frequencies, leaving inactive players out of the loop on communications and active players frustrated on how often they have to change their frequency. Yes, in terms of realism you could argue that this would simply not be possible because the Combine are superior to humans in terms of technology, but I'd like to prioritize the average rebel's experience over the sake of realism on this one.

Reminder that to many rebels in HL2, they have stolen Cop radios, so who says they couldn't have hacked them correctly to work for them in a similar manner, if you need more 'muh untouching lore'.

+Support, it is just annoying as hell to deal with stuff like that.

This is not how encrypted radios work

If anything, just have civilian “rebel” radios, that can be tuned to the central channel only if the player interacts with the “main” radio in their part of the map - incentivizes people to visit the rebel camp every now and then

That way people can keep their own private radios, while still having a centralized rebel station

can't wait for devious cops to run up to the rebel camp during graveyard hours

Civilian radios that require /me connects cord to radio
/it the radio syncs, your channel is synced
week later, require another synchronization
bing-bang-boom, cops can't interact with civilian vendors anyhow

big discussion piece for me is not being able to so easily tune a radio to a new frequency puts more push on cops finding embedded rebels to turn into informants or just embed their own into their ranks, or start incentivizing people to rat others out w/ items and empty promises
can create a good sum of roleplay

Yeah - its a good middle ground I think. It makes it easy for people who aren’t on every single day, and also takes some pressure off of the regulars to change frequency once or twice a day

This radio station would have a unique radio for it, so that people can have their own private radios and channels outside of the “main”
