You're acting like some overwhelming majority voted in favor of leaving the EU, it was a close call to the very end, which would mean about half of the English people didn't want this to happen, score one for democracy. Surely isolating yourselves as soon as things start looking tough has proven to be an effective strategy in the past. Even the Scottish want a new referendum about their independence now.

Jumping on the "EU corrupt" bandwagon is a purely political tool with no solid grounds, as is the "my grandfather died to defend this right" nonsense, that's like unironically saying that the US-led invasion of Iraq's sole reason was to free the Iraqi people and establish democracy. You have elected parliament to deal with this sort of mess, the referendum is a dated system that usually results in a political nightmare due to the heavy direct impact of media influence and advertisement campaigns.
