kane and sterling tried to deceive the referee the entire 120 minutes by needlessly fallingSterling penalty is soft, it isn’t a dive but Vestegaard comes in clumsily towards Sterling and gets enough of the man to halt his run and force him down. Vestegaard is 6’6ft, Sterling is 5’7ft, ofc any pressure from a man that size the little guy will go down. VAR was never going to overturn it because it’s not a clear and obvious error. He got the man, outside the penalty box it’s still a foul, it’s just that it is inside that makes it worse for Denmark.
you're allowed to touch each other and even charge at opponenents in football, only when it is careless, reckless, excessive or you weren't in playing distance is it a foul
it's obvious that kane fell on purpose and made clever use of the little contact that was made
either way, the var is useless and should've told the referee to look at it again as it wasn't a clear foul
also apparently anglos had to use a laserpen on the goalkeeper's eyes during the penalty:laughing:
