also, anyone got any tips to quickly build up arm strength? got a firefighter exam in one month from now and I gotta use my arms a lot
bench press
pull ups
chin ups
either bench or tricep dips
don't mess around doing bicep curls and stuff
e: you won't be using just your arms, typically when you think you're just using your arms you're also activating other muscles like your back muscles or core muscles to assist you, hence why these movements are good because they don't just work arms but other muscle groups to give you more rounded strength
If you're not used to them exercises just start light, and for the pull ups and stuff if you can get some resistance bands to tie around a bar or if your gym has an assist machine use thatThanks a lot. Will try that tonight.

make sure your meals are at least 800 calories a piece and that you're snacking too, and you won't let yourself down in terms of calorie count
