I've been going to the gym since the end of April, though I haven't been in a month or so cause I got a horrific cold and managed to fuck my back (which sucks and I wanna get back to it). I've been steadily improving though - I have a lot of muscle problems which means I need to take shit slower than a lot of people would.is 2019 the year of the gymbros?

I ended up having to pack the diet in my trainer gave me though back when I started because it was unbearable - chicken and rice and shit like that, six small meals a day every day. I just... couldn't.

Credit to my trainer the guy has been bodybuilding for 30+ years and has won a load of shit internationally but the diet was the sort where you'd have a meal plan but it'd be the same thing daily- so you'd have two chicken and rice one day, then sweet potato and a salad, etc etc. You could mix it up but it was all variations on the same 3/4 meals.holy fuck what are you training for 6 meals a day of rice and chicken jesus christ
personally i've made the switch from meats (still eat chicken/tuna though) to vegetable based stuff
beans, rice, broccoli, asparagus and all the other stuff is fucking top tier if made right
but like, how much protein would you eat a day then if you had 6 small meals of chicken and rice

Ok if you ever end up making anything asian-esque in terms of cooking (we're talking rice and some chicken/pork in a pan) do the followingi cant stand the taste of 95% of vegetables so the shit im eating is mainly meat based
either works really well honestly, my dad's on a combination of meat and vegetables and it's working just as well for him - mind you the process is a lot slower given he's in his 50s and has to lose weight before he can gain. he's also on an entirely different workout system to me
