Saturday 28th August 18:00 GMT+1 through Sunday 29th August
(Starting time subject to change)

What?
- Faction vs Faction combat, pitting the free-form 'insurgency' along with NATO elements against the Warsaw Pact forces of the Soviet Union and GDR. Unrestricted by whitelist applications and free for everyone to join.
- Requisition-based vendors with a wide range of weaponry and equipment.
- Usage of vehicles, emplacements, deployables and specialised equipment encouraged.
- Basic combat rules will apply, but we're aiming to reduce the overall ruleset for the duration of the event.
- Basic story context, the main focus for this event will be faction vs faction combat.
This will be hosted on the main WW3RP server, meaning existing characters may participate. The content remains the same and is available HERE

Why?
We never really got to the 'definitive' point of the Stasiland experience, as it was abandoned and closed down before the NATO invasion development got fully well underway. Eventually we would've liked to progress the server into a situation that resembled the 'old ww3rp' of sorts. As such, a lot of the systems and plans we developed were never used and left mothballed on my hard drive.
We want to use this opportunity to throw it all out there for the public to use, in a simple classic fashion.
This will also be a proving grounds of sorts. We have a couple of storylines for story-driven multi-day event series planned out. But before we get to events like that, we want to test a variety of stuff in public usage, as well as grant the players a chance at the definitive WW3RP experience.
As such, this event might mark the starting point of a series of events in the future.

Rules
1. Only leave the base area in teams of 4+ led by an NCO+ (exception for the insurgency faction, who may enter the field with 4+ members regardless of NCO).
2. No distributing items/weapons from a vendor to a faction that does not have access to it.
3. Reloading artillery pieces and emplacements (such as HMGs) must be roleplayed using a detailed /me.
4. Armed vehicles must be crewed by at least 2 individuals. No holding shift and hyperspacing around the map, keep it realistic.
5. NATO may create mixed groups with Insurgency, Soviets may create mixed groups with GDR. If they do so they are (still) subjected to the necessary minimum of 4+ members. If the insurgents and NATO create a mixed group, a NATO NCO is required.
6. Employ common sense, if you have to doubt about whether or not something is allowed, it probably aint. Don't be an idiot.
7. Accept that rules may be changed/added depending on the situation and staff may make necessary decisions as they see fit.

Q&A
Q: How are you doing today?A: Pretty good, I just ate.
Q: Is WW3RP going to be forever open to the public again or is this just for the two days?
A: Just the two days. Future events are in a planning phase and might be hosted depending on how this goes.
