It isn't much better here, anything JDM ends up being far more expensive than it should because 'muh japanese cars are so cool and better than euro trash'. People who were in their 20s or 30s or whatever when the RX7 came out and they couldn't afford it can afford one now and after buying it and realising it isn't for them because of it being a flat out sports car, they try and flog it on for the same price they bought it if not morevery nice, i just wish the American car market wasn't absolute dogshit
FD RX-7 goes for around 20-40k here depending on condition, and extremely rare
evos go for 20-50k

hate to tell you brother, that's got to be a fake listing, or at least a very old listing-![]()

literally cheaper to import one a top condition one with way less miles straight from the US or probably anywhere else
8000 pounds + 700 odd pounds for shipping
i guess it'd be good to actually get to drive the fucking thing but still thats absurd
the listing is originally from a swedish import company's websitehate to tell you brother, that's got to be a fake listing, or at least a very old listing-
yeah i just took a gander at the URL beneath the pictures, when you see a car selling for way below market value you gotta scrutinize it a lotthe listing is originally from a swedish import company's website
so we're either fortunate or you're right
i dont know much about cars
got to be wary when buying used too, went to a bike shop for a part and they had this beauty of a honda outsideyeah i just took a gander at the URL beneath the pictures, when you see a car selling for way below market value you gotta scrutinize it a lot
Yeah you gotta be careful with used bikes. I only ever buy from dealers on that front because (even though they weren’t in your example) they’re usually more aware of what’s happening and if something’s dodgy. My local Yamaha dealer who I’m good mates with the owner said he had a fair few coming in recently with fake plates or the engine serial not matching the frame serial meaning it’s been nicked or stuck on or whatever. It’s tough with bikes because they’re so easy to nick, but dealers are usually quite thorough with their checks and can tell if something’s fishygot to be wary when buying used too, went to a bike shop for a part and they had this beauty of a honda outside
asked them why it was sitting outside (everything they fix is stored inside or behind the shop) and they told me they were waiting on the cops because it turned out the VIN was filed off, meaning it's been stolen by someone (who sold it to the guy who brought it in)
also had someone try to sell me a falcon that was written off so it's not just bikes
bro manual is easyill b real
sorta been eyeing up early 2000s jeep wranglers lately
found a few absolute specimens for under 15k
problem is that most of them are manual and that really isn't an option for me because of where i live. i mean, it'd be possible, but annoying and it'd limit the speed at which i get my license because i'd have to do it entirely through a school b/c no one i know drives manual actively
it's confusing that so many of them are manual because wranglers started having automatic options in 1994 so the ones from the early 2000s are definitely around in auto form
still, heres some of the ones ive come across

oh no i know manual isn't hard, it's just going to be a pain because of where i live + the fact i'd have to do a lot of training through a school and that's both annoying and expensivebro manual is easy
clutch in, change gear, clutch out
hardest part is getting going from a stop, where you ease onto the gas as you let off the clutch, watch a couple YouTube videos.
on the other hand, jeeps are cool, the older ones are a lot smaller on the inside, backseats are shitty, and they're generally uncomfortable. but, cool cars nonetheless with good off-road capability.
as someone who's driven and done maintence on one, don'teven look at a nissan patrol or something like that
patrols are fucking indestructible
i mean pretty much every car is gonna have its little characteristic shit qualitiesas someone who's driven and done maintence on one, don't
get yourself a later model cause the GU gen needs wheelbalancing every 20,000 ks or so and the bearings love to fuck up
the thing is a money sink if you buy one that's aged horribly
the same as this bad boywhich car is this
