Every time a new game comes out and I have no disc space because for some reason every gmod server I visit has a content pack bigger than actual AAA game releases, I get bored, watch as my machine runs out of memory, uninstall, repeat. Had I the money for a better computer, I’d have a better one, but hookers and blow don’t pay for themselves.

You've got a bit before you'd need to reinstall given dev times. Also recommend an external SSD. Can get 2TB one fairly cheap off Amazon.

Personally would not recommend an external. They bare chances of corruption and deletion from physical trauma, and they are slow. @EXODITE.XXX , I'd recommend an internal SSD. Fast and can hold a lot too without much chance of damage unless you brick your computer.

Though, yes, an external is cheaper.

respite having a stat system (staff could hand out stat bonuses in events, through observed roleplay, some factions have higher max stats on some and lower on others) that affected /rolls (/rolldodge, /rollshoot, /rollswing, /rollstab, /rollblock etc) is still the best system for rp imo, very ttrpg like. very little people will willingly roleplay themselves into a position where they can lose their time investments, it's why p2l always fails.

not as good as s2rp but it's probably the fairest system considering how players tend to be, I'd love for combat to be a mix of s2rp in events and the roll system with stats on the day-to-day server

yeah, s2rp is good but it needs so much overview by admins to decide who wins otherwise it just devolves into /me shoots at the heart /me gets hit in the shoulder/dodges x30 times

tho sometimes roll based systems need admin oversight too, but i feel like it's smoother
