Raiden and I spoke about this in our planning talks although not sure we directly announced it on the post. Debuffs and even buffs from food came up in our talks. Having to horf down food all the time can be tedious for certain. Something we need to give more thought too.

As with anything we definitely want to hear people's thoughts on the ideas and such. Raiden and I want to build this out openly.
Overweight, and Underweight shit like how theres injured and critically and i'll be happy. Also I guess with eating, uhh, i feel like stomach growling would fit to help say "hey stupid, you are hungry" and that tells players when their hunger is getting too low? And maybe just make food give more, like if i eat a whole burger, that shouldn't just fill me up by like 2 precent. Maybe food quality could be a thing so a good quality burger fills more than a low quality? I'd have to think on it more ig.

After the discussions I am going to go with 5 years post the end of the war setting us in 2029.

I know this is a semi short time for a cyber-ish society however I don't find it impausivle given that The Populus is what spawns from the unification of all major factions, and different species coming together under an alliance with unchained access to alien technology to accelerate their development they'll also only have ONE Major City or "Bastion" established. With the ground work being laid for a second. So they have a strong foothold for what they control but their actual control space isn't massive while the majority of the world remains diverse and hostile.

Being optimistic it also means we can do future iterations after this initial one for further along the timeline instead of jumping way aahead. Building upon what we create. (Optimistic ratings valid here)
uhh ig if we're doing that, are you guys gonna do a custom map? Cause if so, do layering like how it was on coast, coast had each map section going from up to down and it worked great at allowing for a large map without causing too much issues. And for teleports, use portals, I saw this infi-map videos and instead of just reg teleports, they had portals that would create a mirror so you could see from "the place you just move through from behind" And make sure to use the full map size, Netspark did it and it was perfect. well, only if they didnt have the playable space be so fucking small especially with the trees being fucked up on that map. And if I had to say what the layers should be, first layer is Bastion, second layer is outlands, 3rd layer either Xen via portals in the outlands as was shown in the final hours of alyx where there was visible portals blocked by Combine walls OR a dead city that people could explore. Either or would be cool.

Raiden and I do have an interest in eventually getting a custom map done but that likely would be done as an early post launch thing if we're successful. Depends how development goes. But it's on the wish list yes.

Yeah fuck the railway but I lowkey loved railway shopping day when we’d go to a massive event box build or the ship in the ocean event box and 60 rebels were doing their best impression of a Turkish or Thai market

I preferred the times when there hadn't been OTA for a while so rebels would just get comfortable and start setting up stalls like this back from 2014, or 13 I cant remember which year Novus was a thing.

Felt a lot more natural and a bit shifty since an x (I genuinely cant remember the name of when CPs would go through the sewers in a group anymore) could happen upon us at any time

Was it called a sweep?

@Blackquill might remember better than myself but I’m pretty sure you couldn’t take damage in prone or something
i don’t think it’s an issue anymore i’ve seen it used in other servers without issue but i might be wrong :/

how do they work gameplay wise
what is a convergence transhuman and what makes it different than a populus transhuman
is there anything else you plan to implement other than crafting, if so what is it

We intend for them to have different abilities, different characteristics and obviously a different look. a lot to unpack there for sure but in essence it wont just be a flavour thing

We have a bunch of things that we're actively developing to do, it's mainly a case of seeing if we can do it and how it can be implemented first so I won't get into too much details but in short the general thinking is things to both modernize the way things are done and to allow a lot more player agency to create and do new things rather than a heavy reliance on staff setting things up for people

brief post ik but there'll be updates in the not so distant future to look out for :)

HL2RP2 was a damn agony so often when playercount was at its highest after midnight. That in itself would be fine if it was during weekends, but noooo, for some mindboggling reasons weekends were the quietest. Instead the peak hours were on the ass-end of weekday evenings.

I mean, midnight for you was like 7PM EST for me. Can't really be helped if your timezone doesn't align with majority of the community.
