Y'know what's never occurred to me? If the regenerative properties of Vortigaunts, if applied extensively enough and over a long enough period, could de-stalkerise someone.

Stalkers aren't human anymore, they are cogs in the combine machine at that point, like OTA.

This isn't Dark Souls the vortigaunts can't just feed a Stalker some humanity and they revert back to some semblence of normal.

You know what, just for the IC attempt it'd be a curious thing to see, but it'd probably being a very painful and sad sight

Considering many of their insides are removed or replaced, they can't live without the sustenance and maintenance of the Union, so having them recover stuff would only increase the necessities of their bodies and probably end up in a quicker and more painful death.

Regardless from the neck up the guy's been drilled and that's not something that can be easily recovered, you'd end up with a shell of a human being that somehow lives but is not alive.

The solution would probably be way more cruel than just taking them out of their misery, but as always, why not try IC?
