You should be able to trust your players. If you can't trust them, why do you let them on the server anyway.

Counter argument; the majority of rebels are (sadly) script-playing mongs who can and would hear "limited ammo", waste 90% of it on blowing up cop patrols or base attacks anyway then complain when either they don't get the ammo to do those things and use them on actual targets.

Like I'd genuinely love to let rebels run wild with heavy weapons but you'd end up in a very shitty arms race very quickly. I'm sure thats part of why @Numbers isn't too keen to hand them out.

i'd say the main issue, outside of that, is the online issues.

Like, sometimes people have irl stuff they gotta do, etc. Or they're just bad at combat and sponge up supplies for the purpose of cinematic appearances (me).

Idk, maybe have it like, in a locker or something to distribute? issue with that is, you'll run into some dickhead that firebombs it and just screws everyone over

if the cool guy with the hot stuff isnt online then tough shit, he's not here
(Big guns should be distributed to groups anyway, and ideally in that case would be kept in some communal container, but that stuff I'd prefer to be sorted IC)

I have heavy weapons but like eh, you do have to remember that in a rp situation and you're under attack by big combat patrol, you're gonna panic and use the limited ammo gun on the cop mobile

Rabid I was Senior Admin in charge of Character Authorizations I have extremely good firsthand knowledge on the fact that 98% of the rebel playerbase have a brick in place of their frontal lobe; But there's still people who can be trusted with that stuff around.

Also if they blow their rare stuff base attacking then rip bozo get fucked

The tsarist era rifle deals more damage by a large margin, so yeah (135dmg vs 58dmg). Fewer shots to kill, less ammo wasted. The bolt ain't that bad unless you are in cqc. It's a weapon for those in the rear.

Even then mostly misunderstood.
Our group got labelled hoarders even though we had ONE spare main gun (same as we used, not different ammo) that we could actually use after we attack the teams that other rebels don't attack, because they don't wanna risk it.

I actually have a lot of faith in the rebels of this iteration. Script hoarding is mostly dead so the primary cause of brick brain lobe disease has been eliminated.

There's still some people out there I wouldn't give a shred of responsibility though (like @deathwolf , not cause I think he's incompetent no i just fucking hate that guy)
