his ooc protection involved like a 40% protection suit that reduced all damage by 40% alongside other shit like controlling the BMD economyyeah so remove OOC protection entirely
not counting the OOC protection of "being really good at S2K", but that's an entirely different issue that stems from the disconnect between RP and the abrupt change to CSGO

if people like him were killable, the system would break down in like a week tops
yeah so remove OOC protection entirely

When Numbers says "super subtle ways" he means that nobody was going to try and kill the person keeping RebelRP together - especially because the people who did the most PKing to keep their powerbase were all in the same circles and groups (who themselves also didn't really face PK's for that same reason).he was OOCly protected in super subtle ways

Harry is unique in that he had so much clout and gravitas that he could hold RebelRP together even when he was doing things that would have gotten literally any other person PK'd a thousand times over - he joked to me that everyone in RebelRP had PK auths on him but he wasn't fussed.
Or to sum it up; when the groups of people who were most likely to remove any OOC obstacles in their way through various means are also the ones keeping things afloat there's not much risk of the retards who'll try and randomly undermining it actually undermining it.
That's also why the Railroad had OOC protection for the longest time, because a lot of these people were now on the other side of the fence and absolutely would have killed them all the first chance they got and there was no Harry to keep things afloat after the first week or two of Helix.
The problem is that keeping that powerbase involved a lot of things that would be considered incredibly shitty and shady these days. It worked back then because all of the people who could have kicked off about it were on the side that gained from it.i mean this is basically just warlord strats
kill the people who'd actually dare to threaten you and then force all the people who control the economy (crafters) to work for you or die
Custom suits were removed very early on in nebs lifetime for this reason. (To clarify, not because of harry but because of bullshit stats that disrupted any semblence of balance)his ooc protection involved like a 40% protection suit that reduced all damage by 40% alongside other shit like controlling the BMD economy

Every rebel back then thought they were a temporarily embarrassed Simeon.Custom suits were removed very early on in nebs lifetime for this reason. (To clarify, not because of harry but because of bullshit stats that disrupted any semblence of balance)
The BMD system was also heavily overhauled/removed in response to many complaints
Yet people STILL wanted them back.
@ruble blew him up with a grenade when a few of us protested violently against the judicator system (which was all voided when they were removed), although he wasn't aiming for him in particular.his ooc protection involved like a 40% protection suit that reduced all damage by 40% alongside other shit like controlling the BMD economy

It's worth noting that there were barely any problems with the system under Harry, when Tzula took control it went to shit for pretty obvious reasons (incapable of running the faction, brown-nosing headstaff over keeping shit together, sky high profit margins & trying to ban crafters over how they rated posts on the forums instead of focusing on people's genuine complaints).Even in Helix 1.0 had people who'd been under Harry previously that tried to get power for themselves in that regard by demanding the Railway be able to be killed off and taken over, people that nobody wanted anywhere near that sort of control.
He got shot three times with an AK to the head during heavy snow and didn't die.I’m like 90% sure chez had OOC protection lol
Crafting in Helix 1 was so aids. I don't know why they refused to give crafting flags to anyone that wasn't in the railway tbh@ruble blew him up with a grenade when a few of us protested violently against the judicator system (which was all voided when they were removed), although he wasn't aiming for him in particular.
despite those suits being incredibly overpowered they offered 0 protection against explosive damage and that's why vortigaunts back then were overpowered too.

There were valid reasons why the Railway was completely crap for most of it's existence, a good chunk of them leadership problems.

his status quo was being a retard so he got the benefit of the doubt over and overI’m like 90% sure chez had OOC protection lol
When I say 'OOC protection' I meant the combination of extreme clout and a willingness to use multiple friends/positions/factions to keep ahead of everyone else on the character he cared about.yes old custom suits on lemonpunch were silly, no, no one had any "OOC protection" on nebulous . cloud beyond the friends they kept
Because most of the people left who openly wanted to build monopolies would have done so in a fucking abysmal way and because "IC is IC" nothing could have been done to oust them.Crafting in Helix 1 was so aids. What does "OOC protection" even mean
