the europa dambuster was the culmination of the group's time as the main resistance faction
there was a pretty radical idea being floated that Europa would use its considerable manpower to trigger a whole server event by going on a mission to destroy a big hydrodam outside the city
it was pretty cool because it was the very first time we had done such a thing at LP (the whole server going to another map for a short event) and it ended with a bloodbath of cops and ota getting destroyed and the rebels blowing up the dam
looking back on it, i think most of it was entirely a scripted setpiece (like dark skies) but it was a very important moment for the community
europa would fall from prominence in 2014 due to the infighting, meaning that we couldnt make the Contact event series about them (as was originally planned) so we came up with the Eurasia group as a filler, the rest is history
