Like the title said, how do you celebrate Christmas in your country?
What type of food do you eat? also please pictures i love food
What traditional activities do you do with the family?
What day do you open your presents, if you even have presents?
etc, etc...

Even if a lot of us celebrate Christmas, we all do it very differently, and with the Big Day coming in less than a month, I thought it would be interesting to hear how you and your families celebrate it.

It's tradition to call the Turkey "Percy" in my house for some reason.

I know because I'm older now but every year at christmas eve the roof would start to bang like footsteps so we thought it was Santa, turns out my dad went outside and got a very long fishing net and was just banging the roof like footsteps. Apparently he got it from his dad, my grandad, so I guess that makes it traditional lol

For Christmas Dinner everyone is in the Kitchen, sit in a circle as you do and simultaneously pull a Christmas cracker one by one

and my family still does the penny in the fruit cake thing where if you find a penny in the fruitcake, you do the washing up lol

i mean
depends on if you mean like the specific holiday or christmas time
cuz me and my fam start celebrating on the 1st with all the decorating and stuff, always the 1st
then on christmas eve we always celebrate with extended family, no real activities, just good fucking food like gravlax, sill, potatoes, eggs and etc

we also celebrate hanukkah with my grandma but that wont happen this year cuz she is away in france and this makes me very sad :(

Joking, I do! I dont like Christmas much because I'm not very social. I have piglet, cod fish, chocolate, King cake which is a sweet cak with nuts and dry fruits and other type of minor snacks. I dont like it much, but my family does.

I never understood much on why it is cool, but I think its because you spend time with people you like. You eat good food, you spend time all day at the house with the family and what not. I was just never able to socialize much and feel any "nice, I like spending time with you!"

for Christmas Eve there's gotta be an odd number of vegetarian meals and a big loaf of bread with a coin inside (which gives you fortune if you find it), which the oldest member of the family tears to equal pieces and spreads to all family members

during Christmas, we usually eat whatever we want and have the presents prepared under the tree for the morning

here are some of the meals we have during Christmas Eve

My bae is Bulgarian and he tells me his Christmas dinners didn't have any meat. So, we have it at my family (in America) with Turkey and Ham, which I'm sure he appreciates. And Bulgarians looove their bread lmao.

Presents in the morning, big meal with family of the usual estonian-ish dishes without fail (Potato salad, blood sausage, potatoes, normal sausages etc).

@Raiden may be the only other dude I've met who's family has Bailey's as a Christmas tradition.

I don't tend to drink alcohol but I make an exception for that.

Ye, there's nothing better for Christmas Eve in Bulgaria than a homemade bread loaf with some fresh from the oven bean soup, you should try it someday if you haven't
