It's so people can't just grab a radio and sit listening to the frequency forever even though logically they'd just be able to alter it and lock you out that way because you wouldn't know what to tune into.

You can't do that because of the way they're coded on server, whereas IC you'd just change the frequency for employees upon one being reported stolen.

That means the only thing you can do is swap out that individual's stolen radio.

how do you triangulate which radio is which, unless they've got trackers in them they're all on the same wavelength
unless you mean to suggest they change frequency every once in a while too in which case they'd all have to be
manually reset over the whole district
it just dont make no god damned sense.
I get its a gameplay thing but from a realism standpoint it's pretty unexplainable.

Keeping radios the way they are for gameplays sake they’re a healthy way to get radios into circulation like bq said so why are they oocly banned from being stolen, generally people being oocly banned from being mugged for certain items feels really cheap and gamey and considering its nothing that is a problem for rebels to have it doesn’t make much sense in my eyes
