Hello everyone! this is a thread about, if you wish, sharing your stories or just informing me/us of lost pets.

i believe this post can be all-so great for people and maybe help you break some of those feelings out. i personally posted about my two pets's loss and it helped alot getting that support mentally that i needed.

I'll share mine to start it up.

First one, Felix.

Ahh felix, my horsey.

Felix was my horse for 2-3 years, great horse.

His reason of death was he got a disease named Colic. It is the #1 killer for horses here in israel, and propably all around the world. It is a digestion infection which cloggs up the belly with infected food, mainly badly harvested food at that.

We had another horse back then that got the disease aswell since she ate from the same food. She was managed to be saved, he did not though.

we fought for him for 2 weeks, and just when he showed signs of recovering, in one day at 6AM in the morning, he just went brezerck, smashing the doors and going nuts as his belly aches in pain, untill he died from inner infection since he could not poo.

He died at the age of 6, you will be remembered felix.

Second one, Shpitz.

My first dog, i adored him so much. he helped me at my hardest of times. he passed away at the age of 15 due to elderly, and having lung and heart issues. he was put down at 3/10/2017. we had to put him down since he did not eat, or drink, and didnt want to walk, infact, whenever we had to lift him down to tkae a pee, once he finished peeing he either lost weight and peed with both his legs down, or just tumbled, maybe even falling down.

He was. and always will be. the absolute most amazing dog and friend i ever had. he helped me so much. so so much its incredible. everytime i had a bad day, got bullied (i was seriously bullied between 13-16 due to body weight.) I Just went up with him to the bed, and petted him as i looked in his calm, deep brown eyes and all my problems passed away. and here, at my hardest of times, as he goes and slips inbetween my hands, i have no one to hug, or pet, or look into the eyes to. therefore, i looked for comfort whereever i can. i got a new dog, named Lola. an amazing, beautiful dog which is currently 4 months old. unbelieveably her attitude is extremely similar to his, calm, quiet, yet cheerfull and loving. sadly, we had to put him down 11 days before my 18th birthday. you could say, i was not very cheerfull at that very big evening. i sitll remember and mourn about him to this day, but Lola helps me, reminding me he'll always be in my heart. forever and ever.

I Hope all of you get a chance to open your heart and tell us about your lost loved ones. its always great to have a talk about it and its always good to share. also gets quite a nice topic to talk about, even though its depressing.

Feel free to post pictures of them aswell! it can help us connect with the story, cause i believe one look at a dog's eyes can tell you his whole story with his owner.

Have a good day everybody, and Rest in peace, Felix and shpitz.

@Blackquill @Roosebud Have you guys lost a pet/s?

I used to have two birds but unfortunately paste away because they couldn't really survive to much cold wind came through the House. But I shouldn't really expected that birds live long.

I buried them in a specific place in the park.

Sad to hear. and yes, birds to do not live for long.

I Sadly couldnt bury my dog, he was at my mom's and my mom and dad are divorced therefore we did not have anywhere to bury him, so we had to settle on paying for someone to take his body to be furnished. My horse was buried somewhere behind my dad's house, he didnt realy tell me where.

Yeah, but that is something which everyone experienced or will experience that someone which they loved passes away. But stay optimistic.

A few months ago, we lost our old cat called Tøsen. She was a right cunt, and she was old when she passed away peacefully in her sleep. She's the great-grandmother of the litter of kittens we had last year, and is also the great-grandmother of the litter we're getting this year.

Paris, my old lab that me and my family had when I was a young boy. He didn't die but we had to return him after owning him for only a few months due to us noticing that my older brother was allergic to dogs. Sad times, but he's having the time of his life hunting in the forest all day with his new owner.

i've had three turtles run away from me in my life

i used to live in an urban enviroment and we kept my turtle (several years ago) on our deck (outdoor patio but it was like 20 feet in the air) and it jumped off

i live in a nonurban enviroment now and the other two escaped to the creek in my backyard

two of my goldfish died too :b:

had a parakeet once, it flew off because I forgot to shut the door as I was walking my dog
aw damn

tbh i think having a pet bird is just torturing it unless the bird actually likes the owner etc.

when i was small a family gave us 2 little parakeets just like yours and my mom was smart enough to put their cage on literally half a curve and it was leaping off the edge, one morning they managed to drop it down, it then opened and they flew away.

the funny thing is we now have a big colony of them on someone's house not far from my house, oops.

had a giant tortoise who'd wander around and eventually we found his shell cracked open and he was nowhere to be found.....
had a bunch of violent ducks that'd peck at your feet if you got near them, were my neighbour's - they disappeared after a fire at our neighbours. has me thinking if they caused it
bunch of dead fish of course
