LS Impound - How does it work?

Alright, I've been playing as a TOW driver for a bit, and so far I didn't figure out how to get money, I think I need to impound vehicles and clock out to get money, but for some vehicles, that I am sure are player-owned, don't allow me to impound them at the Drop-Off area, and before I am able to do that, my game basically becomes unplayable, can't do animations, can't pull up apps...Anyone know the how? Pls pls tanq ranq.

Have you tried visiting the bank and collecting your paycheck?
