wear some nice undies that don't chafe your balls. i'd recommend bamboo. baby powder these motherfuckers too.

keep heavy shit higher up, not bottom. you can fuck your back up.

all the fucking socks. change them out often. shell out for the socks, not the boots.

don't aim for speed, take bigger steps. this shit can fuck your back up.

eat a bunch of salty ass junk food while you're doing it. you're aiming less for healthy sustenance during the march and more for water retention.

Adding onto this:

If the weather allows it, wear tights or sports shorts under your pants to prevent chafing on your thighs and hips

Pack heavy items as close to your back as possible

Have socks on quick draw so you don't stop and have to go through your entire pack to get them. Spending too long doing it will make your body lose heat extremely quickly and will make walking again more painful as your feet will hurt again/a lot more

Last ruck we did was 30 km with an average speed of 8.7 km an hour so make of that as you wish. Speed comes with experience. If you go too fast too quick you will end up doing irreversible damage.

May or may not be joining the National guard in a few years to get special rights in the GCC such as free travel visas and subsidized housing when i move out.

For those of who former or current military, would it be worth it? id only have to do 18 months if i join at the very least

Ive got some friends currently in the military and they said the only real bad part is the training, you get sent to the UK and Pakistan and the bahraini trainers are allowed to hit you. But other than that, thats the worst ive heard. But yeah you get free housing, no utility bills, and a car payment up to 50,000 usd while your in. So it doesnt sound all that bad imo
