It adds nukes, et cetera, but it's not the only thing that it adds.

Right now we started with vanilla to get people back into the game but we are planning to move away from it and add mods

stay in vanilla for one or two more weeks until we fuck up the end and get to the end-game (all diamond stuff, some enchanted stuff) because really about that time vanilla gets boring.

if were doing tekkit we can either do classic tekkit (oldest version, think yogscast jaffa factory, 1.2.5 minecraft), remade tekkit (just called tekkit in the browser, more updated but still has a lot of stuff from classic tekkit, 1.6.4 minecraft) or a non-offical updated tekkit version for 1.12 called The Classic Pack.
