default minecraft gets boring quickly

I remember doing a custom modpack with @Ready Salted @Jaggles @Linntrix and @TinPan with:

Was quite funny watching everyone watch their backs with mobs constantly on the hunt for killing you.
Think it ended with over 70 deaths lol

Newcomers dumbfounded when they see shit blown up at spawn. Everyone's scattered around the map and some people outright kill you.

It's fun at first but you'll find diamonds, building a fuck-off big fort and eventually get bored and quit.

I mean I like expanding my settlement but if no one moves in or even knows where I am, then what's the point?
