I mainly just want some mods like the one I linked and some exploration mods maybe

Tekkit does have mods, it's a specific modpack.

My suggestion would be, for instance, SpigotMC or BukkitMC (Bukkit has been re-added now, it works and it's updated), which allow plugins. However if you guys want plugins and mods, then you'll gave to go for SpongeMC.

If we want to introduce the mods, we need to end the Vanilla first, I guess that a good way may be killing the ender dragon, but that's too basic.. too obvious

I propose to make a world war, between every faction, we all meet at some coordinates for a massive PVP between the factions. Only 1 faction will leave alive.

Of course, no ally allowed.

Then, once we are done we will see for the Mods I guess.
