The game is quite fun

Glitches? Sure
Lack of NPC’s talking? Yeah

I’ve had a lot of fun, and the way it tells a lot of the stories is quite quirky and almost refreshing

The game has a lot to improve in and I can’t justify it being 40 quid right now but with constant DLC I believe I’ve made purchase I’m happy with

entertainment is why you purchase a game, it's fun, I enjoy both roaming alone with some music playing in the background and playing with my friends. Might just be that i've got great company though, but I think thats a mute point when lone wandering is fun enough on its own right

let me make this very clear though, it's not a fallout game, it's a spinoff and an attempt at giving the fans what the fans have been asking for in the bethesda way of hearing things anyway. It's great for what it is, but if you judge it like a Fallout game and an RPG, you're going to have a bad time

onto my third point, expectations can be dangerous because; Fallout 76 lets me roam around in a Fallout world and fuck around, but it doesn't let me enjoy a roleplaying game, which is what I think when I hear Fallout. This game definitely wouldn't be getting as much slack as it does if it wasn't a Fallout title however.

I do have my fair share of complaints too, like the constant - gamebreaking bugs, the fact that they used the Fallout title to lure people into buying a game that shared little in common with the other Fallout games. The stupid fucking looting and scaling, the lack of any balance when it comes to weapon damage, you're either chipping away at health or instantly killing something; I've yet to find middleground. The servers crashing randomly, unreliable hitboxes to name a few.

bad games can be what you make of them. Bear with me here but I'd like to make an example. There's a game called Reign of Kings, it's a garbage game, plagued with hackers, retards, bugs, client-sided hits letting you win by reconnecting the internet cable - but it's a damn fun game, it's a game where you can fuck around, and a game I've put about a thousand hours into, because it's entertainment, I take it for what it is without expectations

that being said, it's definitely not worth the price-tag. Even without expectations it's a glorified Fallout 4 mod that a fan probably could've made. So in conclusion, buy it when the price drops, don't hold any expectations for what you want the game to be, take it for the entertainment value it gives you and then formulate your own opinion.

But wasn't this known before the release? Let's be honest, Bethesda behavior and policy was really disgusting. Like, they knew for 100% in which state game was before the release. They still had time to put some fucking shop with microtransaction, but they didn't have enough time to fix bugs that are well known since Fallout 4. What's is better, they charged full 60$ for this.

inb4 i'm enjoying it. You can enjoy it, but you have to agree that Bethesda made it on extremly low effort and just shidded it out, slapping 60$ pricetage, when game was more of a Fallout 4 DLC than a stand-alone AAA product.

Didn't put it on steam so people didn't:

• B: Refund it when they saw how shit it was/badly recieved by MOST

So far the quests and the voice acting is fairly well done, yet the first part of New California is still the strongest. Companions don't really have more depth to them aside from two at the moment, but the mod creator said that he'll be going to develop them further. Overall, it's an incredible experience - given that it's free and a nice little background story for the Courier.

It was actually pretty shit for what they promised, followed the mod for 7 years and the only companion interaction was what you could already get out of the beta 5 years ago. The main quests were poorly written and the lore they tried to propose just completely pulled me out of the experience.

They said you could also port your game over to main New Vegas but by the time they released that function was also broken. The only decent part was the ending slides, sadly the prequisite to those ending slides were a couple of villians that were so shitty and poorly written (The Enclave lot) that they might as well have been from hunt down the freeman.

The supermutant antagonist was pretty cool but he also made absolutely 0 sense based on existing canon and devalues Markus from Fallout 2 and New Vegas by writing up some lore for him that makes no sense.

cool weapons, armor and shooting - lot better than main Vegas, thats not saying a lot though from a pragmatic standpoint.
