Here's the timeline usually for FTRP:

• People want FTRP, they beg for it and plead, so the head staff agree and start to set it up.
• When this happens, the forums explode. "OH MY GOD IT'S COMING BACK" "OH MY GOD, MY MUSEUM CAN-banned"
  
• The sever opens, the opening event happens and it's very populated.
• About a week later, the population seems to dim. People wonder.
• Two weeks later, the name changes to QZRP to make it better
• A month later, the players complain about the population and beg for the server to be shut down.
• The server is shut down.
• Four months later, people beg for it to happen, so the head staff agree and start to set it up.

It was fine, but the famine update and other poor decisions killed it.
Hell I even manage my first character to survive from the start and through the end of the server, both LP and NC.

you're forgetting how easy it is to get infected and that even after the zombies die people still turn and that the country is still in shit.

implying all the zombies die it will actually change the gameworld and give it a new outlook while still making them appear once in a while
