Old games being better than new ones?

I do believe it's apart of when you get older your tastes and expectations get higher. Look at Dead Rising 1, it was flawed as all fuck but people prefer it because it was the original.

it seems with a lot of new game releases everything is dumb downed to appeal to an audience as wide as possible generally making it less complex and more boring imo, my personal favorite old games have to be Gothic 1 and 2, Deus Ex, and Baldur's Gate
