Speak to the blacksmith in Firelink Shrine, there you can use Titanite Shards to upgrade your weapon (the "Reinforce weapon" option)

you should've picked up a few shards by this point and if you haven't uhhhh rip

thought they were rare so thought to save them for later better gear

Titanite shards and large titanite (and chunks after a certain point) are whatever, they practically throw them at you and they are easy to farm, so just go nuts with those

You gotta be careful with using your Titanite Slabs tho, but that's lategame stuff so don't worry about that

my advice is to always be upgrading your shit

Game massively improved after the backlash
For a change developers of a game listened and actually improved it tenfold
Bought it for $7, worth every penny already
Game definitely hits its stride in coop though, it's not at all a side activity, it makes up a huge part of the game. Luckily the community is still huge for coop and with only 4 player lobbies it's easy to fill

Comfy singleplayer exploration and comfy co-op
keeps all the cool stuff FOX engine usually has - melee system included, kicking enemies off their feet etc. kicking grenades, co-op has emotes and a talk system on top of voice chat
