not at all, this is casual mode at 3PM
nobody good plays at 3pm other than daily farmers (me)

the issue with gears is that the way you play it is not the intended way at all

for some reason the devs have refused to patch out a bug that basically makes the games meta "use a shotgun and abuse the speed bost when taking cover to dance across the map"

this has been present in every single gears game, which is supposed to predominantly be a cover based shooter

cover based shooting is boring; there's a heavy place in gears for using your lancer to shoot at people and punish those in the open, but the close-range fast-paced game is far more what draws people in
performing it is fun and interesting when you can successfully do it and aim; up until that point it's more about snappy aim and moving closer to people to avoid the 99% in 1
wallbouncing is and always will be prevalent, the problem is people who can barely do it or do it so much they look like an addict, and ruin their own accuracy

after about 8 or so months of sporadic on and off playing i finally completed rdr2
shitty mission design, random outfit and gun switching be damned - rockstar made a game i loved anyway, 10/10

running through the campaign on hard with akee cruiser now its pretty cool
