Potential new server discussion/idea thread

Hi

People have been discussing a new server on a different platform to gmod because let's face it, Gmod is fucking shite and it'll be obsolete in a couple of years. Don't get me wrong, HL2RP probably isn't going anywhere but I don't see why we should restrict ourselves to serious text-based gmod rp lol

some stuff that's been mentioned:

• Arma 3
• GTA

and maybe something else idk

but i dont really think we have to be a serious roleplay community and nothing else yknow???


so yeah just discuss ideas/possibilities/games here :)

Space station 13 is pretty easy to set up and configure something original from. There is not a single hl2rp server there from what I know, and there won't be a need for 3D modelling. It's all sprites. Downside? There is no economy or inventory persistence, it's all reset when a round ends so that byond doesn't die. On the plus side, it allows an almost infinite array of possibilities on what people can do and what can happen, and also the immense majority of people who play ss13 are HL fans.
