There's certainly some truth to the idea that WW3RP has lacked serious roleplay over the years. Even Brawler said of the early days "When there was no admin people would just fuck around and RDM, or even wonkier is if they came up with some fucked up IC reason to go assault the enemy base and convinced a few players to go along with it."I'm willing to bet that the new WW3RP server will be almost identical to the old one. Why?
It was never the setting, it was the players. It will always be a meme of mostly every dumbass playing his mental fantasy twisted creation.
It will never be seriousrp, ever.
Edit: Prove me wrong.
I came on duty to the sound of distant explosions. I still couldn't get through to the MP Sergeant. The Lieutenants were excitedly chatting about a tunnel collapse, and something about Sanderson getting stuck...
I was rushed out there to help, we ran by a crashed Humvee on the bridge, and got into the stream. They were trapped in a cave along the stream, and we had a few grenades launched towards us when we arrived.
After dealing with the grenadier we tried to dig Sanderson out. Concordat were on the other side of the blocked tunnel, and had threatened to execute their prisoners if we kept digging. The LT kindly reminded them that such an action would be a war crime, and continued to try to save Sanderson.
A second Humvee had been driven in so we could use the winch to move some of the blockage. Eventually we got her out, but the tunnel had collapsed on the other end, and everyone on that side of it had been crushed.
I helped Sanderson up as we left the tunnels, and Sergeant Muller scuttled the second Humvee as we left. We used a third Humvee nearby to get back to base.
You put blue castle and good roleplay in the same sentence pal might wanna fix that typoThere's certainly some truth to the idea that WW3RP has lacked serious roleplay over the years. What's interesting though is that despite such a rocky start, it did end up producing a lot of serious roleplay and great storylines. A restart can revive the roleplay structure of a server, and changing the format by removing one of the two main factions is a direction that could help generate serious roleplay.
Not only was the single-faction idea an old one (as even Brawler mentioned it: "WW3 would probobly work best if it was like, heh everyone is on the Coalition and the Globalists are just NPCs (or the other way around although Globalists would arguably have greater numbers).") But it's been tried recently...

Screenshot from Blue Castle WW3RP during its single-faction era, where a lot of good roleplay happened.
Even during the multi-faction days there was still great roleplay:
So, not only would a fresh WW3RP server still have some serious roleplay (even if it might take some genuine effort to hold onto a high standard of roleplay), but the single-faction style has worked too, and I can see nebulous making it work.
You clearly didn't learn from what happened to the last guy that replied to me with a shitpost. You put blue castle and good roleplay in the same sentence pal might wanna fix that typo
That’s my fetishYou clearly didn't learn from what happened to the last guy that replied to me with a shitpost.
I hope you enjoy appearing in cartoons...
I know Malaysia isn't involved but did the communists win the Malayan Emergency war or the 2nd Malayan Emergency war @char in this lore, just wanna know for fun
'The Malayan Emergency was a guerrilla war fought in pre- and post-independence Federation of Malaya, from 1948 until 1960. The belligerents were the Commonwealth armed forces against the Malayan National Liberation Army, the military arm of the Malayan Communist Party.'
'The Communist insurgency in Malaysia, also known as the Second Malayan Emergency, was an armed conflict which occurred in Malaysia from 1968 to 1989, involving the Malayan Communist Party and Malaysian federal security forces.'

Burnie Sanders is a soviet militia man in Denmarkis Juncker dead too or do we need to send Andy.B back in time to finish the job
Do remember Finland and the USSR did have times of colder relations even with Treaty of Friendship, Co-operation and Mutual Assistance ex. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Note_CrisisImplying that i implyied that we would just have a another Winter War.
No.
I'm implying that from the Pre-Cold War
And During the Cold War, the likelyhood of Soviets just invading Finland for fucks of it is dumb as fuck.
From the politics and the relationships between the two countries. I don't see how Finland would be invaded, but Yugoslavia, Switzerland and Albania don't is dumb.
Just saying that ''Lol, They are in the way so why wouldn't they invade'' is just dumb and overlooking everything going on in that time Politics between the two countries..
You are just being dick-ish at this point mate.
Also
Here's a good read on the topic of Finland during the Cold War.

Finland was treading on thin ice during the entirety of the cold war even with the asskissing we did eastwards. It's been a while since I studied the subject but I recall it might've been actually included in the YYA-Treaty that during the chance NATO tries to invade the Soviet Union through Finland, they'd come to assist to help defend against the invasion which could be used to occupy the country. If there's not much lore written around Finland in the server's lore, it could really be something relating to that.
And like char said, you could write lore docs if the government in exile isn't enough. The Weapons Cache Case could give for an interesting doc to write about tbh https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weapons_Cache_Case
