has anyone else made it to louisville or am i truly alone within its gated confines, eternally hunted by hordes (having lost my good friend @Trains (died in my arms(i cried)))
another tip for gamersfinally found carpentry skill books
we reading and building tonite
another tip for gamers
go find a TV and take it to your base (assuming you have a generator hooked up)
I believe you should be able to play VHS tapes on it, head on over to pretty much any city and find a VHS store
you can basically rewatch all of the initial 9 days of Life and Living, meaning that theres a total of 9 VHS tapes for carpentry
assuming you've got all the books I think you can get really fucking far into that skill, and if you die and save the tapes/books you can get back up to that level quickly
go find a big ass mansion/house/building and kill zombies in it until one of them drops a house key, u now have access to all the doorsnot being able to make a lock is a bit dumb
youre a sexy man thank youMy bad, I saw their convo but I forgot to setup their account up.
They should be good now.
ill give this a try on a test world thanksgo find a big ass mansion/house/building and kill zombies in it until one of them drops a house key, u now have access to all the doors
start breaking them down and gather a shit ton of doorknobs, when you craft a door with them you should have key access to that door i believe, if you gather them all from the same building you'll only need one key i think
I hate the night time
Its dark and scary :(
this doesn't work unfortunately (unless I did something wrong)go find a big ass mansion/house/building and kill zombies in it until one of them drops a house key, u now have access to all the doors

saddest story.has anyone else made it to louisville or am i truly alone within its gated confines, eternally hunted by hordes (having lost my good friend @Trains (died in my arms(i cried)))
saw a few threads about it but they were quite old so idk mightve been changedthis doesn't work unfortunately (unless I did something wrong)
Also has anyone actually been to Raven Creek yet?, I've not seen a single mention of it here.
Good news is if you clear out an area then so long as you "patrol" it once a day/48 hours (forget which) you prevent zombies spawning inside of it. Doesn't stop them wandering over to you though.Considering I've got a new char to work up, I'd love to get to Louisville or even Raven Creek, but the problem is I'd really want a base that won't have any zombie spawns in it. Which is hard to figure out considering all heat / pop density maps are out of date (as in don't even have Lousville in them) and that makes picking a base to reliably defend without the fear of it being over-run from the inside while I'm out shopping concerning, especially for Raven Creek where I imagine the entire map will have zombie spawns enabled.

Most up-to-date heatmap I could find, if you're finding hordes of zombies in the middle of nowhere the devs probably just put the entire area to red and forgot about it. (e.g. some roads have much higher spawn-rates and some roads have virtually none).

You'd think it'd feels wierd to essentially be doing homework for this kinda thing but honestly it feels good to plan stuff like this out.
Pretty sure that's the case, but it is there though.Last time we spoke about Raven creek, people mentioned that the addon is not up-to-date therefor the roads that used to lead to raven creek don't align with its roads anyone so the city is essentially surrounded by trees and you gotta cross them to get there (with cars is impossible)

I think @Goopy visited RC?
