for some reason i have protection IV against horror movies and prefer them to make me sympathsize with the characters rather than have big scary man pop up in my screen and boo me

but when i play horror games like lost in vivo or outlast or other cool titles i'm just constantly on edge

Outbreak is the dope-as-fuck co-op side-series of groups of people trying to get out Raccoon City during the shitshow, ye. Its actually entirely canon too and one of the scenarios is directly referenced in the Remake (Rita and the whole plan to escape via the underground).

The games were so popular they brought the servers back up for them years after they died. Only reason they never did so well at the time was because they were way ahead of their time as games.

Oh and the second game has the Raccoon City Zoo filled with zombified lions, hyenas, toucans and a fucking elephant.

It did existed a co-op hl1 mod similar to outbreak with different characters and stuff set in the RE universe, but I don't know if it's still available atm
