Zombies are a bit too pathetic.

You can literally outwalk them, and as long as you're outside, you'll never be in any danger from them. The only damage I've taken so far has been from broken windows.

I actually don't think so, I had to get a generator for my farm and had to try to sneak through couple of hoards of zombies that almost catched up to me, I think they also have a great memory because some of them continued to follow me even through the woods.

I never had that problem. They do seem to have pretty good memories, but when you have high fitness and athletic etc (Which does increase your walk speed slightly) they never really become a problem. My character's deaf, and they've never caught me off guard.

Probably not instant. But confirmed.

Unless the infection time is just 1 second or something stupid.

Generally if you're bitten, you just want to take as many of them with you.
