Most of GTA RP is voice based, yeah. There's only 1 major text server really.

The setting is different which keeps some people on GMOD, sure. But you'll see quite a lot of familiar people from this community playing text-based GTA instead of a 18 year old game.

it was only 120 for like, 2 days. We dropped it down to 80 the first week to not have to deal with 100+ people at launch.

At the end of the day, the ones that stay still love the Half Life lore. I'm looking at s&box to move to or at least try it out once its released with addons.
The goldern era is over. but we will have less RDMs, better RP and less shit roleplayers in theory.

We need to figure out a way to enable more interaction from the world without admin assistance. Have a area that gets shelled when a no admins are on, more npcs spawning (maybe Combine and rebel npcs to bolster numbers for events etc)

imo theres been a transition from a more big tent wide participation slow building server, to a more close knit, directly character based almost personalised approach. It's a change of the times for sure, but also if you like that more personal touch it certainly has it more now
