Honestly I wouldn't say you've ever had a bad event. Lackluster? Maybe if you compare against your bigger hits on a personal level but none of them ever failed to get a massive turnout, hiccups or no.

but I still can't fathom why there's never been an event with a featured rotating cast outside of more than four - five slots

doesn't it defeat the purpose of splicing new characters in for added depth by having the same ensemble over and over?
