19th anniversary of Columbine shooting, so a lot of American students are using it as a chance for symbolic protesting, as they want gun bans. Also a lot of people are probably also taking the chance to just skip school and smoke weed since 4/20.

This doesn't happen in the UAE- I think at least lol. If it were my case I'd be forced to sit there until they called our parents because I can't bring my phone to this particular school I'm no longer in. don't ask how i got out of school on the last term of the year...........................................
They’re just giving people unexcused absences and I can’t afford one since I need to get as many exam exemptions as I can since I’ve already lost plenty
