I wouldn't expect you to know
Running a faction is easy tbh, the hard bit is dealing with all the dumb bullshit surrounding it cause people can't just roleplay without being retards.
Nah I mean like the people entirely uninvolved who decide to kick up pointless shit over every little thing you do or someone does something dumb and if it isn't fixed instantly you are a shit lead etc etc. Then remove them

The actual running of a faction is generally fine and really not a hassle at all.

no purpose that people want to commit to
There's a few interesting projects going on right now, but the city itself is rather dead, and people don't commit themselves to science alone, they also want passive. The city RP has a huge effect on the faction, and even if there's interesting stuff to do, if there's nothing to do when you're on "break time" you end up losing interest. It's something I've observed for long, in 100 people events, were we had projects to do, and there was people to RP with in City, there were always players. Even when there were no projects, or nothing set on stone, there would be UIRD/WI players just because there was passive to do.
The most frustrating thing about the old WI for me was that when it wasn't being too hammy it provided great RP and people genuinely enjoyed it - and at their peak they were pretty much the one faction who dared piss off The Resistance and took the IC backlash for it on the chin for the sake of RP.It's also why I see Willard Industries as the most useless faction on the server, because it has no purpose that people want to commit to
So question, would you say IF I had in mind of making a UIRD event would the people be active for it.
