what's wrong with rises? i loved it, same goes for the other twoRises is kinda... eh...
implying spaghetti westerns and chinatown rampages featuring jackie chan aren't horrendous moviesnow then, the peak of action cinema?
80s-90s blockbuster shitty action
with jackie chan preferably
The Matrix when you look at it through the lenses of the time period before it was overdonenow then, the peak of action cinema?

Nothing special. Had no strong feelings about it, but it wasn't gutter trash.what about the dark knight movies
No, Doctor Manhattan was the only one who could manipulate/transform atomic particles/composition etc.Watchmen was still a bit shit tho since it wasn’t only Doctor Manhattan who had superpowers
Superhero movies aren’t the top tier of cinema but they aren’t just some useless trash either, some of the recent marvel ventures have been really good
what's wrong with rises? i loved it, same goes for the other two
what i mean is that in the original watchmen, dr manhattan was the only one with anything close to super powers. in the movie most of the main characters show off some kind of super strength abilities and appear to be above most other people for no other reason than 'super powers'. the movie also focus' in more on action which, while cool action, pulls from the message of the flickNothing special. Much rather rewatch 'The Good the Bad, and the Ugly' for the 5th time than watch any Superhero movie.

don't really have one, I don't think I've ever thought after seeing a film, "Yes, this is the best shit"what's y'all's favorite movie(s)?
it's all cool, i respect your view, i enjoyed it mostly because i watched it to be entertained, as is what i do with every movie because im a dullard when it comes to criticizing themfrom an entertainment stand point, it's kinda good. Bane has good presence and some killer lines
However from a standpoint of theme, it's eh. The main premise of the movie is the ''corruption'' and upending of Gotham City, but we've already established clearly in Dark Knight that the citizens of Gotham aren't easily swayed (i.e., the boat scene where they were forced to blow up the boats and both the boats of normal people and prisoners refused to pull the trigger on eachother), completely invalidating one of the key points of Knight
The ''twist'' villain was also not foreshadowed at all, leading to some fucking Disney tier ''IT WAS ME ALL ALONG'' from a character with not a lot of screen time until that point
it just felt off in many places, in ways that Begins and Knight didn't, I don't know how to describe it. It's definitely the weakest of the trilogy imo
