This movie's dealings with the Force cum all over the Original Trilogy and Prequel Trilogy's face and bum.
i.e They ruined the whole thing of Anakin being the chosen one bringing balance to the force.
the four homers and the burning tree are so hilarious! ;D movie was. Comedy gold!i loved these scene!

what the HECK happened with leia like how did she end up in space not have her lungs explode and then do some mary poppins shit and end up in the ship again
That makes you one of few. As a die hard Star Wars fan and lore person I hated it, I'd suggest looking at some of the bullet points listed in thisI honestly thought the film was dead good, would watch it again
- The scene with Leia dying and coming back to life was total bullshit and provided no explanation. She's never had any force training and not even famous Jedi masters have ever done anything close to that.
- Half of the characters felt like they weren't even needed, they should've replaced the Asian girl with Poe and had both him and Finn go to the rich planet together.
- None of the characters felt realistic, especially the First Order commander who felt like a GI Joe villain when it got to the point where his pain and body being thrown around was being used as a comedic effect.
- Pacing was awful, way too much cutsie action trying to be shoved into serious scenes with high tension.
- It felt like the entire movie was dumbed down and the original writing had something much more complex in mind for the plot, however they made it easier for a wider audience to enjoy
- Finn should've died in his attempt at sacrificing himself into the big canon, I completely lost any emotional investment in him when they saved his life, he should've had the heroic death.
- I loved the scene with Luke vs. Kylo Ren right up until I realized he was just projecting himself and all tension just fell apart
- That scene with the royal guards was complete bullshit as well. Royal guards are some of the most powerful individuals you can face in the Star Wars universe without them being force users, and they wrote them off as total push overs for half of the fight. Not saying Rey and Kylo wouldn't have won, but the fact they killed ALL of them without any retreat or injuries felt so fake.
- They provided NO explanation to who Snoke was which really pissed me off considering there were tons of fan theories surrounding his origin and they just kill him off without any backstory.
- They act like they just destroyed the entire First Order when the intro credits established that it was a huge faction by this point. The rebels really only took out a single fleet.
- Yoda, while cool was just there for the cameo
The last real peace of good Star Wars media we've had was Star Wars the Clone Wars. I like to consider myself as someone who is very knowledgeable on Star Wars lore and expanded universe, and I can say that this movie was trying too hard to be a Disney film instead of a Star Wars film.
At most I can give it an "ok" and a 5/10, not good. The story premise for it was so good and it could've been so much more
As a guy who really doesn't care about the lore of Star Wars, the film was surprisingly good. The death of skywalker or the sudden death of snoke didn't' ruin it for me at all, it just made Kylo Ren the main villain which i liked..The cinematography and effects we're fucking top notch and the lightspeed suicide scene was fucking amazing
heres my big long list of stuff in general about the film:
- Snoke's death was just so, so abrupt and his appearance was just so sudden. We saw that he was in fact this little guy and not a giant, we saw he was disfigured, and was also saw that he was just so incredibly powerful with the force but with no explanation. His death was too abrupt and shouldn't have happened.
- It came to a point where you knew the resistance would win EVERY battle, no matter what.
- The whole light/dark balance shit on the island was really confusing and they tried to be way too enigmatic with rey's parents
- casino scene wasted a good 20 minutes of screen time
- didn't really feel like a star wars film, i know it's past the empire and past the republic but come on
- what the HECK happened with leia like how did she end up in space not have her lungs explode and then do some mary poppins shit and end up in the ship again
- why does a dreadnought have a huge exposed point ontop of its chasis that can literally result in the entire ship being destroyed with a 1 kg bomb
- the film felt more like a constant action sequence rather than a developing story
- finn's injuries (literal strike up the spine) were just ignored and not even mentioned
- wasn't enough morose to it or any sort of 'epic' scenes what really made you think gee wiz that was really cool, it was all standard
- not the best star wars film, probably a 6/10
- they changed the lightsaber ignition sound
- luke somehow got a hologram all the way on that island with some unknown technology even though he has no idea where it is
- luke becomes a force ghost even though his physical skills would save the resistance against kylo not his mind
- hux got bitch slapped everywhere he went
