I saw them - our 'benefactors.'

It's nothing like I expected- we heard the stories, we heard second-hand descriptions...but to see them with my own two eyes is something different entirely...

It's eternity - the wait. I've found myself in silence, finally. It has stopped - everything is quiet; the panic has been drowned out. Is this what it feels like? Have I finally succumb to the untimely fate that many have faced before me, my just-deserves? It's calming, chilling to the core. If I'd known I were to fall at the final hurdle before taking the first step, would I have even made it this far?

I hear it- that final drone of a flatline, that signal to the powers-above that this vessel has failed in its duty. It's powerful- it's fulfilling- it's...

We're free, free from those savages, free to carry-on as opposed to the unlucky ones.
