I've returned to civilization after spending a few days wandering aimlessly in the backcountry of northern New Mexico, albeit briefly. I'll be heading back out for another five days, but while I have internet I thought I'd add a few new pictures. Enjoy!

Dang, it's been a long time since I've posted anything in my photo thread. Needless to say, I've been in a creative rut and using my cell phone more than my semi professional equipment over the last six weeks. Best way out is to start producing more photos and getting back into the game!

Here's a batch of 11 new photographs (the last spoiler on the post).

I always used to think I was a good photographer. Then, I see things like this, and my hopes and dreams are shattered.

This is amazing stuff. It's crazy to me how astoundingly creatively minded people are. Humans are cool.

Even though my days in the New Mexican backcountry are drawing to a close, the change in seasons has provided me enough opportunities to break out my bigger equipment again. Because I'm not sure how close to the cap I'm at in part 2, this post will be my third collection of images. Enjoy!

@Fred - I've been having way too much fun with the panoramic function on my smartphone. It really lends itself to canyon shots like that.

@Blackquill - Got a black and white variant of that, if you're looking for something "moodier".

@MaXenzie - Mister (yep, actual name!) is a goofy doofus. Rescue cat, "moos" instead of meows, has cataracts in both eyes, and greets you with gentle headbutts. Likes resting his head on your hand if he lets you pick him up, which is really strange.
