In our search to round the world to India, we have stumbled upon a new world.

The lands are ripe with silver, gold and land as far as the eye can see.

There are Emperors and Kings as in the new world, who bear similarity to our Moor subjects in the Maghreb.

I have seen it prudent to land a contingent of Marines to ensure our claim is recognised in Europe.

With your support, we aim to establish a colony of Catholic Iberians to expand the Portuguese Realm.

In 1490, Christian adopted the lesser moniker of 'Prince of Denmark', renouncing his crown as king.
It is said that God Himself is the only king to which he answers.
So begins the Golden Age that marked the height of his rule.

The Prince of Denmark has successfully unified the crowns of Scandinavia - bringing them all under the crown of Denmark.
To the west, the Danes have made gains in the British Isles, using the dual alliance of Burgundy and France to extract heavy concessions from the weakened English kingdom.
In the south, the lands of Holstein and Lubeck have been pressed into the authority of the Danes.

Poland was left behind as the kingdom's loyalties shifted to the Muscovites and Prussians - who both sought to gain from the decline of the Polish Commonwealth. Christian will now profit considerably - as the Austrian partition saps their imperial authority, weakening the integrity of the Holy Roman Empire, opening it up for further annexations of coastal free cities.

Under Christian's long reign, corruption has grown throughout the realm - and the military and political adventures of the Danish have driven the ruling class into substantial debt. To worsen matters, the Catholic church is reeling from the growing power of the reformation and the King now must consider whether his loyalty to Rome outstrips his loyalty to the increasing number of Danes who are abandoning the faith and converting to Protestantism. Denmark must now look to correct its trade policies, expand its holdings across the north, and begin its colonisation across the Atlantic, where a New World awaits.
