i been holdin this opinion in privately because i knew it'd cause a fuckin immediate string of dumb ratings but im gonna say it anyway
i dont think the combine faction should've been comprised of characters & players. yes yes you can just say "oh look subeh's going on another trp tangent again!" and yeah i am because it could've worked so well here
by making the two main factions comprised of players & characters, you immediately up the stakes and immediately make it competitive by nature. if the combine side had of been made up entirely of event characters played by players, staff for the bigger stuff etc and more or less handled a lot like skynet on trp was, then you immediately eliminate any sense of competitiveness
assuming, of course, the people running the combine faction aren't competitive asshats themselves
ofc there's the argument of 'well maybe rebels should've been the event faction!'
