As humanity struggles to heal in the wake of the Combine's fall, a new breed of terror emerges; roaming bands of deranged Transhumans, driven mad by their severed connection to the Overwatch, the Synthetic horrors trapped within buried deployment Nexi, and the nascent movement of fanatical Ultraloyalists.

These Ultraloyalists, antinomian terrorists, zealots, and devotees of the Combine alike, who thirst insatiably for death and revenge in their relentless pursuit to avenge the annihilation of their dominion and their very livelihood, embark on a global crusade, unleashing a reign of terror upon all who oppose them.

But the pillars of the movement, Civil Protection, the Primary Military Arm, and the oppressive remnants of the Civil Authority, are now rotting corpses, aware of their imminent demise. They grasp the futility of their fight, but their resolve remains unyielding. With grim determination, they vow to drag the world into its own cataclysmic downfall.

Two months ago, a counter-terrorist operation executed by successors of Lambda, lead to the capture of four former Civil Protection Rank Leaders. As the red tape unravels, the trial of those collaborators looms within the halls of the former Palace of Nations, Geneva.

And among them, you stand—a former Rank Leader. Perhaps you had concealed yourself, biding your time in an attempt to escape justice for your actions during the occupation, or maybe you have continued to sow the seeds of terror in the wake of your fallen masters. Now, however, the spectre of justice awaits you.

Joined by your cohorts for a final dinner before the hearing, now is the time to reflect on the choices that brought you here.

What is this?​

The Hand of Vengence is a short to medium-length event taking place during the Post-Occupation, you play as a Rank Leader standing trial for war crimes in the Geneva Palace of Nations. The event hopes to explore the complexities of justice in the post-occupation as well as the mindset of those complicit in the Combines terror. The event will also contain S2RP.

Do I need a cop whitelist to play?​

Nope, anybody can apply.

Once applicants are accepted we will agree on a time convenient for all participants.

- Follows through, despite being cut off from advisorial oversight & high rate of defection in her garrisons.
- Death toll: 50,000+ underaged individuals. 5,000+ insubordinate officers.
- Current population crisis in NORTH-AMERICA singularly attributable to her command decisions.
- Goes into hiding, following abandonment by Overwatch.
- Trail goes cold.



2042-Present
- Rediscovered in the town of Silver, Nevada. Appears to have been a long time resident. Still went by 'Eija'.
- Basement of house revealed various CMB artifacts, a 'Breen-bust' and multiple Benefactor-ornaments, seemingly used for ritual prayer and animal sacrifice.
- Extraction by local authorities proved difficult. Upon learning of her history, most town inhabitants attempted to kill her on the spot. Some of our men expressed sympathy despite our obligation to fair trial.
- Has been awaiting sentence for upward of six months.


Other notes:
- Subscribes to what she calls 'nouveau-morality'. Exhibits a strong sense of principle, 'virtue,' right-and-wrong. Seems to have justified past and present atrocities this way. Seems to really believe it. May have held consistency once. Currently undermined by her medical condition.

I hid under the bed whilst she roamed the house and burned centuries of family memories and 'prosecuted' the only people I could trust.
