If they wanted the player to feel fucking bad then they should of done this. Not forcing you to do something and then say ‘fuck you, you’re a piece of shit.’
killing things in games are fun
karma systems make the bad ending happen based on killing people

so by playing the game in a fun way ruins your ending

this is dumb and gay

I’d much rather not have the game the way it was full stop. I’m just trying to explain the things they could have done to better represent the case they were attempting to make.

if a player has the option to make a choice between bad and good there shouldn't be any sort of system that measures this and either rewards or punishes you for it (in most cases anyway). The event itself should feel meaningful enough to you that you as the player actually get an emotional reaction out of it so it doesn't just feel like a cheap game mechanic.

When I say ‘system’ I say it as a generalisation. As in the choices the player makes directly impacts the environment, how the enemies interact with you and how some story plots can branch outwards. But I don’t understand WHY they were trying to make the player feel bad for acts they didn’t have any control over? It ruined the message they were trying to force on the player.

I think you're detached from reality if you're genuinely finding that 'odd'. This is exactly what people dislike about SJW.

Subverting the issue btw.

People are freaking out because a woman is muscular. It's silly outrage and I'm sure a ton of people are hiding it behind "but the mechanics and story".

It's odd that people would dislike a game because they don't think the women in it are attractive and gives me really weird vibes.

You do you do tho boo. Personally, the game looks good and this is good marketing for the game.

People are freaking only in part because of what said the muscular woman does in the story. I'm not subverting anything, I was addressing the comment you made towards me.

But no; I'm sure the vast majority of people hate the game because she looks like a man. I wish I was as woke as you.

my problem with the violence is that there's so much of it, and that it's nonstop all the way through. the last of us 1 had brutal moments, sure, but that violence was tempered with fun and lighthearted moments. this? this is just 24/7 suffering hell, one long ride that never ends. it loses its value and, by the end of it, the player becomes numb to it all. there's no point if another person dies because the entire story is just violence, gore, and snuff.
