It's just really disappointing, game play is far better than the first. Visually nice to look at, the score is yeah, decent. Dialogue is nice, only thing that keeps me playing really. Story ain't really anything special, character motivations also seem abysmal. Like half of the shit makes no interesting or innovative sense as to why certain characters are there to begin with, just very lazy.

I'm about two hours in, really slogging through it. The stuff I've read and been told just makes it seem not even worth continuing. Honest to god fucking piss take as to how on earth they could have fucked this up. Any cunt and their mother could have written a far better plot.

Everyone knows how bad the ending is but probably missed the fact the Ellie got her fingers bitten off. You know, the ones she uses to play the guitar that Joel taught her lmao. Something most likely sentimental to her. Not like that matters anyway. GOT S8 all over again

last of us wasn't a great game but it's strongest part was the fact it tailored a character study well. so you're right, but you're wrong at the same time.

i think it has good mechanics and it has good visuals but their storytelling was never the best. but people like joel, tommy? it shines for reasons like that.
